Sunday 28th October.
When I started working on the idea of doing the E2E I first contacted Jack Adams with this email 28/8/07
Dear Jack
The Lands End to John O'Groths. Do people really do it in electric wheelchairs? I cannot push a manunual wheelchair but I can control a joystick on my electric one?
If people have done the journey in an electric wheelchair can you please put me in touch, and if you no of any trips planned I would also love to no.
Thanks
Mary Laver
To which Jack replied
Hi Mary
Many thanks for your interest in the Lands End John o' Groats Association.
As far as I know no body has completed an end to end in an electric wheel chair, however we do have a number of people planning the journey by various modes of transport.
First you would have to have access to charging facilities, I assume you would have a back up or support team assisting you, if so a portable generator would be ideal to recharge your batteries.
I will make enquiries among our members and see what I can come up with, in the mean time I am attaching our information sheet that will give you an insight into our elite Association who next year celebrate 25 years of helping end to enders.
Yours Sincerely
Jack
