It is no more than I expected, the police must cover themselves in the unfortunate event of any accidents.I agree in principle what they say, the increase in the volume of traffic does make it more hazzardous, but you can get knocked down just crossing the road, they never tell you not to do that !!. As to the blue flashing light, they are illegal as they may be misconstrued as a police vehicle, but have you ever seen a police patrol using a powered wheelchair?, I would advise a amber light, you can get these from most motor discount stores.I fear the reply form all police areas will be the same, if I was you I would ignore them, most end to enders do, but the choice is yours.
